Welcome to the 2023 season of Pembroke Titan Football and Cheer!
Who are we?: We are Pembroke's tackle football and cheerleading program. We number over 250 kids across 4 football age groups and 5 Cheerleading age group. Our goal is to provide a safe, educational and fun opportunity to play and be involved in the great tradition of football and cheerleading. History
Who we play: We are members of the Old Colony Football and Cheer leagues. The Old Colony League is made up of teams from 28 surrounding South Shore and Cape towns. Each football level plays 8 regular season games against surrounding towns, with a playoff and Super Bowl Championship on the line! Each cheer level attends the games to cheer on the sidelines and selected members compete against area towns to win their level championships! League
When we practice/play: Our football season starts in August with practices 4 nights each week, until the start of school, when we go to 3 nights a week. Games are on Sundays for the varsity squad and Saturdays for the junior varsity squads at each level. Cheerleading starts with tryouts for the competition teams, May 6th, 8th and 10th, followed by camps and practices varied in August. Competition teams continue practice twice a week after Labor day
What do I need: We provide uniforms and most equipment. For more information on football, please go to our Football Page. For Cheer, specifics will come as they are determined leading into the season Football Page
What will my child gain?: Your child will gain insight on Techniques, Safety, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Community and Self worth.…. Friends and memories for a lifetime....
Is it safe? We believe we provide one of the finest and safest programs in the state. We have extra focus on the health and well-being of your child. Our coaches are trained and certified to coach the sports. We perform full background checks on all adults involved with the activities. We stay on top of cutting edge opportunities to advance the safety for everyone involved Safety Page
Rookie tackle, what is that?: At the smallest levels, we at PTFC are promoting the growing practice of 7v7 and 8v8 versions of the game with a focus on skill development and fun. It is a great and safe way to introduce your child to Football. Coaches are allowed on the field to direct the kids and the practice requirements for the little ones are a little more relaxed... hey, they are still kids.
Most importantly!!! We are a volunteer organization committed to providing the kids with as much opportunity to grow, educate and perform at the highest level they potentially can.
So...... come be part of the fun and REGISTER
